On March 9th, 2011, Sisters Roshni and Clara travelled from Georgetown to Aishalton reaching there at 9.30 pm. They were welcomed by Srs. Leonarda, Callista, Lucy and Irma at the convent in Aishalton The Sisters were very happy to meet each other. They were happy to meet St. Angela Group. This is a group of about ten to twelve women who gather together once a month, read from the life of St Angela, pray together, and exchange their views. Sisters in Aishalton lead the group. For Sisters Roshni and Clara it was something new and at the same time encouraging.

Francis Alleyene OSB, the Bishop of Guyana, reached Karasabai with Sr. Mary Peter OSU, Roman Union Ursuline, and Miss Anne, a lady visitor from the States. At 3.30 pm. there was the blessing of the “Benab”(meeting place of the Parish) followed by a well-prepared Holy Mass for the occasion and the blessing of the new convent named St. Angela House. This was followed by a festive meal for the whole village, provided by the Parish Priest and prepared by some women of the parish. It looked as though all the people from Karasabai came to participate. Not only Catholics but Christians of other denominations were also happy that there is a convent and two Sisters among them. Both the Sisters are extremely happy serving them and working in their midst.
